A Pleasant Surprise

I got a little sample of this one when i ordered some other teas and boy was it not was I was expecting! In all honesty, I’m very new to tea and had never tried a Yerba mate based drink. The first thing that surprised me was the color! It was almost a purple-y grey yellow? Very strange, especially as someone who tends to stick more with darker teas like blacks and aged teas. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor! There was a twinge of sourness, which was nicely countered by the honey granules. I definitely wouldn’t have bought this tea for myself, and I probably won’t be buying more, but I’m certainly going to really appreciate this little sample tester.
