Rue the Day
This blend is inspired by Princess Tutu. Check out the entire delicious collection here!
This Russian-style black tea blend features dark tart cherry and rich star anise, accented against dry and robust Keemun black tea. Don't be afraid, all that dry snarky bite is smoothed and sweetened with a touch of natural cream. Because like the Princess Tutu rival by which this tea was inspired, even the most dark, dry and severe frequently have a secret soft side!
Ingredients: Black tea, sour cherry, star anise, natural vegan cream and black cherry flavoring
Approximately 70mg of caffeine per cup
Steep at 205° F or 96.1°C for 2-4 minutes
Blend by Friday
This blend is available 6/1-9/3 in our Summer fandom rotation!

Sour cherry packs a perfect punch to accent the toasty bite of the black tea. For an extra decadent treat, latte the boi up. 10/10 will repurchase.
The perfect tea for a dark, stormy night. Rich black tea, a fruity note from the sour cherries, and the perfect amount of star anise, all balanced by cream flavoring. So good.
I’ve always been a fan of star anise and cherry (although I’ve not had them together before) but it’s so easy for either flavor to be overpowering. Once again Friday afternoon tea has found a great balance! Will be ordering again.
Though I'm usually picky when it comes to star anise I decided to give this tea a try because I love cherries and found it utterly delightful. The star anise flavor is definitely present, but I feel like it matches well with all the other flavors. I enjoyed it with some added sugar (I have a huge sweet tooth, though I will say I debated even adding any at all because the first taste without sugar was also very good. I am a sweets fiend at heart though.) and am kicking myself for not getting to it before the seasonal fandom switch. Definitely will be adding to my wishlist so that I remember to snag some (in a bigger bag) if/when it comes back.
