Your friends will call you a Big Damn Hero for having this blend on hand when they come to call! The Soldier's blend is a dark, full-bodied, slightly acidic blend of flavorful black teas with bitter and chocolatey notes. Take with a bit of milk and sugar to coax out more sweet, creamy vanilla!

Ingredients: Black tea, chicory root, cacao nib, natural vanilla flavor

Approximately 75mg of caffeine per cup for black tea base

Approximately 3mg of caffeine per cup for decaf black tea base

Steep at 185° F or 85°C for 3-5 minutes

Great blend

The Soldier is a great blend in the morning. Right now i am trying to decide if The Soldier or Clear the Fog is my favorite. Both are great teas for waking up.

One of my favorite Friday teas!

Soldier's Blend is great on its own, and an excellent accompaniment to baked goods of all sorts. On those unusual occasions when I want a bit of milk or sweetener in my tea, either or both go quite well, but most of the time I enjoy it straight.

If you're looking for a tea with flavors strong enough to kick you in the teeth, give this one a pass - here they blend together smoothly + wonderfully, a harmony of woodwinds rather than an ardent brass section. Which I like, to be clear! - part of what's so lovely about this blend is how nicely the tea and non-tea flavors mingle and play with each other. I got one batch a couple years back which was too subtle, but every other one has been aces.

Heaven in a Cup

This tea is heaven in a cup. It reminds me very much of the Knuckesandwhich tea without the chili. Its warm and comforting and I'm about to go brew these leaves again because I am not ready to say goodbye. I prepared it with just splenda for this first go round so it is silky, slightly chocolatey, and sweet. I will definitely buy this again.
